The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supe111isor ofR ecords August 12, 2019 SPR19/1622-1627 Sean W. Farrell, Esq. Deputy Chief Legal Counsel Massachusetts State Police Framingham, MA 01702 Dear Attorney Farrell, I have received the petition of Pat Bender appealing the nonresponse of the Department of State Police (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O (A); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Bender requested daily logs within the possession of the Department. Mr. Bender petitioned this office claiming to not have received a response. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned the Department provided Mr. Bender with all available records responsive to his request on August 9, 2019. In light of the Department's responses, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Bender may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~u~ Supervisor of Records cc: Pat Bender One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre• pre@sec.state.ma.us
