The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records August 12, 2019 SPR19/1639 Mary Ellen Normen Deputy Superintendent of Administration & Finance Brookline Public Schools 3 3 3 Washington Street Brookline, MA 02445 Dear Ms. Normen: I have received the petition of Benjamin Wish appealing the response of the Town of Brookline (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Wish requested several categories ofrecords within the possession of the Town. Claiming to not yet have received all responsive records and asserting that the Town has taken excessively long to produce the requested documents, Mr. Wish petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from Town is working to compile the requested records and intends to provide them as they become available. Accordingly, the Town is ordered to provide Mr. Wish with a response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days, as well as responsive records as they become available without delay. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Wish may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~u~ Supervisor of Records cc: Benjamin T.
