The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary o:t: the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records September 27, 2019 SPR19/1883 Attorney Layla Taylor Sullivan, Hayes & Quinn, LLC One Monarch Place, Suite #1200 Springfield, MA 01144 Dear Attorney Taylor: I have received the petition of Gail Hartley appealing the nonresponse of the Northampton Public Schools District (District) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Ms. Hmiley previously requested public records on two separate occasions, once on August 19, 2019 and again on September 3, 2019. Specifically, Ms. Hartley requested several categories of records related to the No1ihampton Public Schools that is within possession of the District. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. Hartley petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the District responded to Ms. Hmiley' s request with a response sent on September 27, 2019. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the District's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Hartley may appeal the substantive nature of the District's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
