Murray Supervisor ofR ecords September 27, 2019 SPR19/1901 Jim Malloy Town Manager Town of Lexington 1625 Massachusetts A venue Lexington, MA 02420 Dear Mr. Malloy: I have received the petition of Jim Haddadin of NBC] 0 Boston appealing the response of the Town of Lexington (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Haddadin requested "records sufficient to show the occurrence of any ransomware attacks against municipal computer systems; and records of any payments made in response to such an attack." The Town initially responded on September 17, 2019 by claiming Exemption (n) of the Public Records Law .. G. L. c. 4, § 7(26)(n). Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, Mr. Haddadin informed this office that the issues involved with this appeal have been resolved.
