The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records October 17, 2019 SPR19/2056 Alec JM Goodrich Legal Programs Coordinator Department of Housing and Community Development 100 Cambridge Street, Suite 300 Boston, MA 02114 Dear Mr. Goodrich: I have received the petition of Jeanne Holmes appealing the response of the Department of Housing & Community Development (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Holmes requested "any and all information regarding the number of 40R units required in the city of Brockton under the SMART Growth law." Claiming to not yet have received the responsive records, Ms. Holmes petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the Depaiiment intends on proving the requested records. In light of the Department's intention to provide the responsive records, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Holmes may appeal the substantive nature of the Depaiiment's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~u~ Supervisor of Records cc: Jeanne L.
