Kimberly Scanlon Assistant City Solicitor Records Access Officer City of Medford

Dear Attorney Scanlon:

I have received the petition of Brad Francis appealing the nonresponse of the City of Medford (City) to a request for public records. G. L. ¢. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Francis requested a copy of the draft ordinance and any related draft zoning rules/maps pertaining to adult-use cannabis in Medford. Having received no response, Mr. Francis petitioned this office.

Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division, this office was notified that a response was provided, dated November 6, 2019, Whereas this matter was opened based upon the City’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Francis may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
