The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division .Rebecca S. Murray S11pe11,isor of Records December 9, 2019 SPR19/2386 Lt. Brian Kelley Attleboro Police Department Records Department 12 Union Street Attleboro, MA 02703 Dear Lt. Kelley: I have received the petition of Wendy Venditti, paralegal on behalf of the law firm DeLuca + Weizenbaum, Ltd., appealing the response of the Attleboro Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on September 3, 2019, Ms. Venditti requested the police department file for an individual regarding an incident which occurred on July 6, 2019. Based on a conversation between a Public Records Division staff attorney and a Department representative, it is my understanding that the Department intends on providing a subsequent response to Ms. Venditti. Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide Ms. Venditti with a response to her request in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within 10 business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Ms. Venditti may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety days, See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
