Department of Massachusetts State Police 470 Worcester Road Framingham, MA O1 7 02 Dear Attorney Halpin: I have received the petition of Jamie Truman appealing the nonresponse of the Department of Massachusetts State Police (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, the requestor sought the following records within the Depaiiment: • All IA files for state trooper, Andrew Patterson, including but not limited to all complaints made about Andrew Patterson • The last three (3) police repo1is filed by state trooper, Andrew Patterson Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, the requestor petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Di vision, I learned that the Depaiiment has yet to respond to this request. Accordingly, the Department is to provide the requestor with said response within ten (10) business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us.
