The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records December 11, 2019 SPR19/2401 Louis Vezina Chicopee Police Department 110 Church Street Chicopee, MA O1 020 Dear Officer Vezina: I have received the petition of Jamie Truman appealing the nonresponse of the City of Chicopee (City) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, the requestor sought the salary of a ce1iain officer within the depaiiment for a period of 10 years. Claiming to not yet have received a response, the requestor petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the City intends on providing a written response to the requestor concerning the public records request. Accordingly, the City is ordered to provide Jamie Truman with a response made in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of each response to this to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. The requestor may appeal the substantive nature of the City's responses within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
