Department of State Police 4 70 Worcester Road Framingham, MA 01702 Dear Attorney Kelly: I have received the petition of Joshua Gramme! appealing the nonresponse of the Department of State Police (Depatiment) to his requests for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Gramme! requested a series of motor vehicle citations issued by certain officers during an identified time period. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Gramme! petitioned this office and these appeals were opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of these appeals and communication from a staff member of the Public Records Division, it remains unclear whether the Department has pt;ovided a response. As such, the Department is ordered to provide Mr. Gramme! with a written response. Said response shall be made in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of any responses to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Gramme! may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety days.
