The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S, Murray Supervisor of Records January 7, 2020 , SPR19/2513 Seah Levy Public Records Access Officer City of Cambridge Law Department 795 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge, MA 02139 Dear Ms. Levy: [have received the petition of David Calhoun appealing the response of the City of Cambridge (City) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on December 3, 2019, Mr. Calhoun requested “all emails sent or received by [certain] [town of Weston]... [e]mployees from January 2016 to December 2, 2019 that include or reference to ‘Stony Brook, Stony Brook Reservoir, Weston ... Rivers Protection Act’ [and] [certain] [addresses] or any of those words/subjects.” Mr. Calhoun further requested, “all emails sent or received by [certain] [town of Weston] [e]mployees from or to the Weston Town Manager, Weston conservation members and or Agent Weston ... Board of Selectmen now or previously seated, Weston Town Planner and all from Jan 1, 2016 -December 2, 2019.” Unsatisfied with the City’s response, Mr. Calhoun petitioned this office and as a result SPR19/2513 was opened. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff attorney of the Public Records Division, I learned that the City responded to Mr. Calhoun’s request with a subsequent response sent on January 6, 2020. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of City’s December 17" response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. It is my understanding that Mr. Calhoun has appealed the City’s January 6" response. The substance of that appeal will be discussed in a.separate determination. Sincerely, 0) Rebecca S.
