The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records January 13, 2020 SPR19/2538 Attorney James Bergeron Department of Developmental Services 500 Harrison Av enue Boston, MA 02118 Dear Attorney Bergeron: I have received the petition of Wayne Willis appealing the nonresponse of the Depa1iment of Developmental Services (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on December 26, 2019, Mr. Willis requested records regarding "Names of the personnel in the Department of Developmental Services in charge of the Self-Determination Department." Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Willis petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. In several requests dated, December 9, 2019, December 15, 2019 and December 19, 2019, Mr. Willis contacted multiple parties for the responsive records pertaining to his December 26, 2019 request. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Depaiiment responded to Mr. Willis' request with a response sent on January 8, 2020. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of a lack of response by the Depa1iment, I will now consider .this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Willis may appeal the substantive nature of the Depaiiment's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~ I T ~ Supervisor of Records cc: Mr. Wayne Willis One Ashbmion Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre• pre@sec.state.ma.us
