The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords January 8, 2020 SPR19/2561 Carla Vitale Town of Winthrop -Town Clerk One Metcalf Square, Room 5 Winthrop, MA 02152 Dear Ms. Vitale: I have received the petition of Mr. Richard Sherman appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Winthrop (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Specifically, Mr. Sherman requested "Any and all settlement agreements made between the Town of Winthrop and any Winthrop Police Officer in the last three (3) years." Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Town provided Mr. Sherman a response to his request. Accordingly, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Sherman may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
