The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records February 3, 2020 SPR20/0112 Andrea L. Stone Springfield Law Department 36 Court Street, Room 210 Springfield, MA O1 103 · Dear Ms. Stone: I have received the petition of Russell Seelig appealing the response of the City of Springfield (City) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Seelig requested "a copy of the contract or other arrangement that Tyler Technology Company has with the City of Springfield for providing software and other guidance for the valuation of single family parcels in the City." Claiming to have received an unresponsive report, Mr. Seelig petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the City intends on providing responsive documents to Mr. Seelig. Accordingly, the City is ordered to provide Mr. Seelig with a response in compliance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of each response to this to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Seelig may appeal the substantive nature of the City's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
