Murray Supervisor of Records February 7, 2020 SPR20/0144 Chief Gerard Daigle Town of Bellingham Police Department 10 Mechanic Street Bellingham, MA 02019 Dear Chief Daigle: I have received the petition of Douglas J. Maclachlan appealing the response of the Town of Bellingham-Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G . .L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on January 6, 2020, Mr. Maclachlan requested the following: · • To see pictures, at least, of the three (3) Verizon representatives identified on the 2019 Bellingham Permit Log, so my wife and I can identify the right person • A copy of the signed written statement by Jacob Shah, confirming the phone conversation he had with Officer Foss, stated in the December 16, 2019 supplemental narrative - Ref: l 9~738-AR • Notifications of any upcoming court dates involving .Mr. Maclachlan's situation. Previous Appeal Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, Mr. Maclachlan filed a "notarized public records request" on December 16, 2019 to the Department. In regards to the request, the Department on December 27, 2019 provided a response to Mr. Maclachlan. Unsatisfied with the Department's December 27th response, Mr. Maclachlan filed a second request with the Department. Current Appeal The Department provided a response to Mr. Maclachlan on January 7, 2020 in regards to the January 6, 2020 request. Unsatisfied with this response provided by the Department, Mr. Maclachlan petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR20/0144, was opened as a result. Chief Gerard Daigle SPR20/0144 Page 2 February 7, 2020 Conclusion Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department provided a supplemental response to Mr. Maclachlan on January 21, 2020. The Department indicates it is "providing Mr. Maclachlan with all responsive records relative to incident 19-738-AR, including the Police Depaiiment' s supplemental report, which is related to your request." Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the response provided by the Depaiiment on January 7, 2020, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
