The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S, Murray Supervisor ofR ecords Februaryl8, 2020 SPR20/0235 Kate Silvia Department of Correction 50 Maple Street, Suite 3 Milford, MA 01757 Dear Ms. Silvia: I have received the petition of Ashley Allen appealing the nonresponse of the Department of Correction (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Allen requested records regarding a planned use of force at a Department facility on a certain date. Having received no response, Ms. Allen petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division, this office was notified that a response was provided, dated February 14, 2020. Whereas this matter was opened based upon the Department's lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Allen may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
