The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray S11pe11•isor ofR ecords February 24, 2020 SPR20/0310 Heather Butler Town Administrator Town of Buckland 17 State Street Buckland, MA 01370 Dear Ms. Butler: I have received the petition of Jamie Truman appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Buckland (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § IOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on January 141h, Ms. Truman requested "[l]ists of all accounts blocked by any official Buckland Police Department social media including but not limited to the Buckland Police Department Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Buckland~Police-Department- 5982239735871160." Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. Truman petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Town provided Ms. Truman a response to her request on February 20, 2020. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Town's lack ofresponse to Ms. Truman's request, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Truman may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~ 1 1 ~ Supervisor of Records cc: Jamie Truman One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
