The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records February 27, 2020 SPR20/0327 Joseph A. Pieropan, Esq. Records Access Officer Hampden County District Attorney's Office 50 State Street Springfield, MA O1 i 02 Dear Attorney Pieropan: I have received the petition of Beth Healy of WBUR appealing the nonresponse of the Hampden County District Attorney's Office (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on January 9t11, Ms. Healy requested investigative records related to a certain death. Claiming to not yet have received the requested records, Ms. Healy petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Office provided Ms. Healy a response to her request on February 26, 2020. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Office's lack of response to Ms. Healy's request, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Healy may appeal the substantive nature of the Office's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
