The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records February 28, 2020 SPR20/0381 Lieutenant Marie Cleary Records Access Officer Wellesley Police Department 485 Washington Street Wellesley, MA 02482 Dear Lieutenant Cleary: I have received the petition of John D. Rousseau appealing the nonresponse of the Wellesley Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on February 1, 2020, Mr. Rousseau requested certain police records. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Rousseau petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department provided Mr. Rousseau a response to his request dated February 27, 2020. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of response to Mr. Rousseau’s request, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Rousseau may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). ) Sincerely, Rebecca S. Kbrecen Maur Supervisor of Records cc: John D.
