The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records February 27, 2019 SPR20/0384 Katie Bennett Chelmsford Police Department 2 Olde North Road Chelmsford, MA 01824 Dear Ms. Bennett: I have received the petition of Jamie Truman appealing the nonresponse of the Chelmsford Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Truman requested the block lists of this Department for all its social media accounts. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. Truman petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department responded to Ms. Truman’s request with a response sent on February 26, 2020. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Truman may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, dlteca Rebecca S.
