The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records March 10, 2020 SPR20/0400 Lieutenant Leo Fitzpatrick Town of Natick Police Department 20 East Central Street Natick, MA 01760 Dear Lieutenant Fitzpatrick: I have received the petition of Jamie Truman appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Natick Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on January 15, 2020, Jamie Truman requested records within the possession of the Department regarding "lists of all accounts blocked by, or banned from commenting on, any official Natick Police Department social media account or page." Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Jamie Truman petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR20/0400, was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department on March 10, 2020 provided a response to Jamie Truman's request. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of a lack of response by the Depaiiment, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Jamie Truman may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~.~ Supervisor of Records cc: Jamie Truman One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
