Lieutenant Michelle Mangino City of Revere Police Department 400 Revere Beach Parkway Revere, MA 02151

Dear Lieutenant Mangino:

I have received the petition of Jamie Truman appealing the nonresponse of the City of Revere Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on January 16, 2020, Jamie Truman requested records regarding “lists of all accounts blocked by, or banned from commenting on, any official Revere Police Department social media account or page.”

Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Jamie Truman petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR20/0403, was opened as a result.

Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department provided a response to Jamie Truman’s request on February 28, 2020. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of a lack of response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Jamie Truman may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).

Sincerely,

Rebecca S. Murray

Supervisor of Records
