The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords March 10, 2020 SPR20/0481 Ulysses Jacks, Esq. Senior Counsel Office of the General Counsel Massachusetts Department of Transportation 10 Park Plaza, Suite 3910 Boston, MA 02116 Dear Attorney Jacks: I have received the petition of Attorney Patrick Hanley appealing the response of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Attorney Hanley requested all accident reports and safety audits of McGrath Highway, as well as "list of top 200 crash locations in Massachusetts since 2012." MassDOT responded on March 5, 2020, indicating they could not provide accident reports in bulk, and provided a link for safety audits and crash location data. Unsatisfied with this response, Attorney Hanley petitioned this office and SPR20/0481 was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, MassDOT provided a supplemental response addressing Attorney Hanley's appeal. In light of MassDOT's supplemental response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. If issues remain unresolved, Attorney Hanley may appeal the substantive nature of the MassDOT's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
