The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords March 19, 2020 SPR20/0492 William J. Doyle, Esq. Massachusetts Department of Transpmiation 10 Park Plaza, Suite 3910 Boston, MA 02116 Dear Attorney Doyle: I have received the petition of David Bixby appealing the response of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Specifically, Mr. Bixby requested the MassDOT report on public airports and their economic benefits amongst other records. Claiming to not yet have received all responsive records, Mr. Bixby petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal and communication from a staff member of the Public Records Division, it remains unclear whether MassDOT has provided a supplemental response. As such, MassDOT is ordered to provide Mr. Bixby with a written response. Said response shall be made in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order as soon as practicable. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Bixby may appeal the substantive nature ofMassDOT's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
