The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records May 13, 2020 SPR20/0696 Batool Raza, Esq. Assistant General Counsel Boston Public Health Commission 1010 Massachusetts Avenue Boston, MA 02118 Dear Attorney Raza: I have received the petition of Melanie Rich appealing the nonresponse of the Boston Public Health Commission (Commission) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Ms. Rich requested multiple documents in the Commission’s possession. Claiming to not yet have received a response, she petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Commission responded to Ms. Rich’s request in writing. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Commission’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. The requestor may appeal the substantive nature of the Commission’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
