G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on April 10, 2020, Ms. McGowan requested via email, “a copy of the police/medical report” regarding the death of an identified individual. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Ms. McGowan appealed and SPR20/0736 was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff attorney of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department responded to Ms. McGowan’s request with a subsequent response sent on May 6, 2020. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department April 10th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. McGowan may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
