The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records May 18, 2020 SPR20/0758 Andrew T. Dowd Town of Northborough Office of the Town Clerk 63 Main Street Northborough, MA 01532 Dear Mr. Dowd: I have received the petition of William Jeas appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Northborough (Town) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Jeas submitted a request for records within the possession of the Town relating to Annual Town Meeting attendance list for certain years. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Jeas petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the Town intends on providing a written response to Mr. Jeas to his respective request. Accordingly, the Town is ordered to provide Mr. Jeas with a response made in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order as soon as practicable. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of each response to this to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Jeas may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
