City of Boston Public Records Department 1 City Hall Square, Room 615 Boston, MA 02201 Dear Attorney Williams: I have received the petition of Stevan Johnson appealing the nonresponse of the City of Boston Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Johnson requested a list of officials within the possession of the Department. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Johnson petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the request for an appeal, I learned that the Department responded to Mr. Johnson’s request with a response sent on May 29, 2020. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Johnson may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
