City of Boston 1 City Hall Plaza Room 615 Boston, MA 02201 Dear Attorney Williams: I have received the petition of Alyssa Anderson appealing the response of the City of Boston (City) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Anderson requested different categories of records “related to 4 Pinckney Street, Boston, MA…” The City responded to Ms. Anderson including a fee estimate. Unsatisfied with the City’s response, Ms. Anderson petitioned this office and SPR20/0957 was opened as a result. In her appeal, Ms. Anderson states she requested to “see exactly how my searches were entered…I respectfully request that your office order that he provide sample sets from the public records searches and order that he show how my searches are entered (whether it is with Boolean terms, parentheses, etc.).” Subsequent to the opening of the appeal, the City provided a supplemental response on June 29, 2020. Whereas the City has sent Ms. Anderson a supplemental response addressing her appeal, I will consider this appeal closed. Ms. Anderson may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s June 29th response within 90 days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
