Murray Supervisor of Records July 9, 2020 SPR20/1003 Jennifer Staples Massachusetts Department of State Police 470 Worcester Road Framingham, MA 01702 Dear Attorney Staples: I have received the petition of Jenn Bussell appealing the nonresponse of the Department of State Police (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Bussell requested various records pertaining to a certain homicide case. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department provided Ms. Bussell a response to her request. Accordingly, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Bussell may appeal the substantive nature of the Department response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
