The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records July 14, 2020 SPR20/1106 Anthony Serra Staff Legal Counsel Office of Chief Legal Counsel Massachusetts State Police 470 Worcester Road Framingham, MA 01702 Dear Attorney Serra: I have received the petition of Ally Jarmanning appealing the nonresponse of the Department of State Police (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Jarmanning requested several categories of records within the possession of the Department. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. Jarmanning petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the request for an appeal, I learned that the Department responded to Ms. Jarmanning’s request with a response dated July 10, 2020. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Jarmanning may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
