Duplin Town Clerk Town of Swampscott 22 Monument Avenue Swampscott, MA 10907 Dear Ms. Duplin: I have received the petition of Matthew Rocheleau of the Boston Globe appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Swampscott (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Mr. Rocheleau requested several records in the Town’s possession related to pandemic response efforts. Claiming to not yet have received a response, he petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Town responded to Mr. Rocheleau’s request in writing. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. The requestor may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
