Carrara Interim Town Clerk Town of Stoughton 10 Pearl Street Stoughton, MA 02072 Dear Ms. Carrara: I have received the petition of Matthew Rocheleau appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Stoughton (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on May 19, 2020, Mr. Rocheleau requested “[a]ny/all reports/data that summarize all recent expenditures/purchases of services, equipment, supplies, and any other goods/items for COVID-19 response efforts between Jan 1, 2020 through present, such as an account summary report, summary expense report, checkbook data, or vendor/check register data.” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Rocheleau petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Town provided Mr. Rocheleau a response to his request on July 14, 2020. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s lack of response to Mr. Rocheleau’s request, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Rocheleau may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
