The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records July 29, 2020 SPR20/1184 Cynthia M. Page Records Access Officer Fall River Police Department 685 Pleasant Street Fall River, MA 02056 Dear Ms. Page: I have received the petition of Lisa Munger appealing the response of the Fall River Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on July 13, 2020, Ms. Munger requested “[a]ny and all records, reports, papers or documents, regardless of form and specifically including electronic form where available, relative to any and all arrests, detainments, or other calls or incidents involving” a named individual. The Department responded by denying the request in part under Exemption (c). Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Ms. Munger petitioned this office, and SPR20/1184, was opened as a result. In an email to this office on July 16, 2020, the Department states “Ms. Munger requested call…I sent her the calls with redaction, and she was satisfied, and thanked me.” Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of Ms. Munger not receiving the requested records, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Munger may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
