Murray Supervisor of Records July 30, 2020 SPR20/1189 Ms. Claudia Buruca Records Access Officer Appeals Unit/Public Records Unit Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office One Bulfinch Place Boston, MA 02114 Dear Ms. Buruca: I have received the petition of Maggie Mulvihill appealing the nonresponse of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on June 29, 2020, Ms. Mulvihill requested “all records relating to referrals to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office from the Boston Police Department for criminal prosecution or potential criminal prosecution for BPD personnel from January 1, 2018 to present.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Mulvihill petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR20/1189, was opened as a result. It is my understanding the Office has been made aware of Ms. Mulvihill’s initial request in an email correspondence on July 16, 2020. The Office is ordered to provide Ms. Mulvihill with a response to this request in a manner consisten with the Public Records Laws and its access Regulations as soon as is practicable. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Ms. Mulvihill may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
