The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records August 21, 2020 SPR20/1324 Lorraine A.G. Tarrow, Esq. City Solicitor City of Everett 484 Broadway, Room 21 Everett, MA 02149 Dear Attorney Tarrow: I have received the petition of Jim Smith appealing the response of the Attorney General’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Mr. Smith sent a request to the Office requesting records pertaining to a specific investigative report performed by the Office. Based upon a conversation between a Public Records Division staff member and a representative from the Office, it is my understanding that the Office intends on providing a subsequent response to Mr. Smith to address his request. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Smith may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
