The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records August 28, 2020 SPR20/1400 Agapi Koulouris, Esq. General Counsel Department of Criminal Justice Information Services 200 Arlington Street, Suite 2200 Chelsea, MA 02150 Dear Attorney Koulouris: I have received the petition of Ardil Innis appealing the nonresponse of the Massachusetts Department of Criminal Justice Information Services (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). The requestor requested several records in the Department’s possession. Claiming to not yet have received a response, the requestor petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department responded to the requestor’s request in writing. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. The requestor may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Ardil Innis One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
