The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records September 11, 2020 SPR20/1546 Claudia Buruca Records Access Officer Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office One Bulfinch Place Boston, MA 02114 Dear Ms. Buruca: I have received the petition of Mr. Donald Williams appealing the nonresponse of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on July 3, 2020, Mr. Williams requested “[a]ll files and/or records maintained by this addressed office and/or the equivalent agencies that are indexed, maintained under, mention, refer to, or otherwise contains the name or identifying information of [a certain individual].” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Williams petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Office had provided Mr. Williams with a response to his request, via mail, on September 9, 2020. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Office’s lack of response to Mr. Williams’s request, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Williams may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
