The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records October 15, 2020 SPR20/1855 Glenn M. Rooney, Esq. Deputy General Counsel Department of Fire Services P.O. Box 1025 1 State Road Stow, MA 01775 Dear Attorney Rooney: I have received the petition of Attorney John Fink appealing the response of the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Attorney Fink requested “any and all reports and records” relating to a particular incident that occurred on July 4, 2020. The Department responded to the request on September 28, 2020, withholding responsive records pursuant to Exemption (f) of the Public Records Law. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Attorney Fink petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR20/1855, was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, Attorney Fink informed this office that the Department has provided responsive records. In light of this, Attorney Fink has informed this office that he no longer wishes to continue this appeal. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Sincerely, Rebecca S.
