The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records October 13, 2020 SPR20/1896 Cynthia Page Records Access officer Fall River Police Department 685 Pleasant Street Fall River, MA 02721 Dear Ms. Page: I have received the petition of Mr. Alan Gaudreau appealing the nonresponse of the City of Fall River Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, in a letter dated September 9, 2020, Mr. Gaudreau requested a certain police report. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Gaudreau petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR20/1896, was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department provided a response with respect to Mr. Gaudreau’s request on October 13, 2020. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the lack of response by the Department, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Gaudreau may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Mr. Alan Gaudreau Lt. Jason R.
