The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records November 10, 2020 SPR20/2110 Mr. Alexander deBlieck Executive Office of Health and Human Services 1 Ashburton Place Room 1109 Boston, MA 02108 Dear Mr. Alexander deBlieck: I have received the petition of Mr. Barry Anthony appealing the nonresponse of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Anthony submitted a request for “all ‘plans of correction’ received from the Department of Correction, and specifically MCI Shirley Medium and Minimum” and “all communications sent to and received from your office and MCI Shirley Medium and Minimum” within the possession of the EOHHS. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Anthony petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division, this office was notified that a response was provided, dated November 6, 2020. Whereas this matter was opened based upon the EOHHS’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Anthony may appeal the substantive nature of the EOHHS’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Mr. Barry Anthony One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
