Stone Public Records Coordinator City of Springfield 36 Court Street, Room 123 Springfield, MA 01103 Dear Ms. Stone: I have received the petition of Robert Fasulo appealing the nonresponse of the City of Springfield Office of the City Clerk (City) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on December 4, 2020, Mr. Fasulo requested “an electronic copy of the registered voter list for your municipality dated November 2, 2020 to present….” Claiming to not yet have received the responsive records, Mr. Fasulo petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR20/2596, was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal by a staff member of the Public Records Division, the City has yet to provide a response with respect to Mr. Fasulo’s December 4th request. Accordingly, the City is ordered to provide Mr. Fasulo with said response in accordance with the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within ten (10) business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Fasulo may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s response within ninety (90) days.
