Coleman Public Records Compliance Officer Town of Nantucket 16 Broad Street Nantucket, MA 02554 Dear Ms. Coleman: I have received the petition of Attorney Danielle E. deBenedictis appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Nantucket (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on October 19, 2020, Attorney deBenedictis requested the following records within the possession of the Town: • Any and all correspondence of any kind including emails and notes of telephone conversations between any town official or employee with named individual or anyone acting on their behalf; • Any and all correspondence of any kind including emails and notes of telephone conversations between any town official or employee concerning the property at 1-3 Reed’s Way, Nantucket, MA…and its operation as a wedding and event venue and any third party; • Any and all studies or reports of any kind generated by any employee or representative of the Town concerning the conduct of weddings and other events at properties located within residential zoning areas; • Any and all correspondence of any kind including emails and notes of telephone conversations between or among any town officials, employee or representative with concerning a named individual; • Any and all correspondence of any kind including emails and notes of telephone conversations between or among any town officials, employee or representative with concerning the property at 1-3 Reed’s Way, Nantucket, MA…and its operation as a wedding and event venue and any third party. Claiming to not yet have received the responsive records, Attorney deBenedictis petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR20/2606, was opened as a result. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Attorney deBenedictis may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
