The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records January 8, 2021 SPR20/2612 Michael Murphy, Ed.D. President Weymouth Educators Association 33 Union Street, Suite 23 Weymouth, MA 02190 Dear Dr. Murphy: I have received the petition of Dr. Jennifer Curtis-Whipple appealing the nonresponse of the Weymouth Educators Association (Association) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on December 4, 2020, Dr. Curtis-Whipple requested “all documents and records, including emails, text messages and any communications from you, all WEA board members, MTA representatives, WEA membership, and non-union WPS employees” in regard to a certain matter. In an email dated January 4, 2021, the Association provided a response. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the lack of response by the Association, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Dr. Curtis-Whipple may appeal the substantive nature of the Association’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
