The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records January 26, 2021 SPR21/0058 Ms. Kathleen Lentini Records Access Officer Natick Town Hall, 1st Floor 13 East Central Street Natick, MA 01760 Dear Kathleen Lentini: I have received the petition of Karin Sutter appealing the nonresponse of the Natick Town Clerk (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 11, 2020, Ms. Sutter requested “all records and documents related to the payment of $40,000 to the ACLU of Massachusetts (ACLUM) in settlement of the ‘Spaulding vs. Natick Public Schools’ matter.” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. Sutter petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that a representative from the Town intends on providing a written response to Ms. Sutter. Accordingly, the Town is ordered to provide Ms. Sutter with a response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten (10) business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Ms. Sutter may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
