The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records January 19, 2021 SPR21/0090 Marya Caristi Administrative Assistant Town of Sandwich Police Department 255 Cotuit Road Sandwich, MA 02563 Dear Ms. Caristi: I have received the petition of Louis F. Cerrone appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Sandwich Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 18, 2020, Louis Cerrone requested “the Department’s written policies on the use of deadly force, use of force, disciplinary policies, training, community involvement, hiring policies and procedures and diversity.” Claiming to not yet have received the responsive records, Louis Cerrone petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/0090, was opened as a result. It is my understanding a representative of the Department provided a response dated January 19, 2021. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Louis Cerrone may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Louis F.
