The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records February 18, 2021 SPR21/0263; SPR21/0264 Priya Tahiliani Superintendent of Schools Everett Public Schools 121 Vine Street Everett, MA 02149 Dear Superintendent Tahiliani: I have received the petitions of Steven Fitzgerald appealing the nonresponse of the City of Everett Public Schools (School) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On November 11, 2020, Mr. Fitzgerald submitted two requests seeking “[a]ny Public Records requests made to the Everett Public Schools, Everett School Committee, or Everett school Department in 2018” and “[a]ny Public Records requests made to the Everett Public Schools, Everett School Committee, or Everett school Department in 2019.” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Fitzgerald petitioned this office and these appeals were opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of these appeals and communication from a staff member of the Public Records Division, it remains unclear whether the School has provided a response. As such, the School is to provide Mr. Fitzgerald with a written response. Said response shall be made in accordance with the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Sincerely, Rebecca S.
