The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records February 11, 2021 SPR21/0293 Fred A. Mitchell, Jr. Fire Chief Town of Georgetown Fire Department 47 Central Street Georgetown, MA 01833 Dear Chief Mitchell: I have received the petition of Nicholas Rio appealing the nonresponse of the Georgetown Fire Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 21, 2021, Mr. Rio requested all records, incidents, inspections and files related to a named address from April 25, 2019 through January 21, 2021. Claiming to not yet have received the responsive records, Mr. Rio petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/0293, was opened as a result. It is my understanding the Department provided a response dated February 9, 2021, to Mr. Rio with respect to the January 21st request. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Rio may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
