The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records February 23, 2021 SPR21/0307 Hilma A. Summer Town Clerk Town of Heath 1 East Main Street Heath, MA 01346 Dear Ms. Summer: I have received the petition of Douglas Mason appealing the response of the Town of Heath (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 11, 2021, Mr. Mason requested “[a]ll Email, Letters, and Other Correspondence of Selectboard Members, The Town Coordinators, the Town Clerk, and the Board of Assessors from November 1, 2020 to January 8, 2021 related to or concerning the resignation of [an identified individual] from the Board of Assessors and the subsequent appointment of [an identified individual] to the Board of Assessors.” The Town provided a response on January 28, 2021, which included a fee estimate. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Mason petitioned this office, and SPR21/0307, was opened as result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, Mr. Mason emailed this office on February 13, 2021, stating he has been provided with the responsive records.
