Aliberti Easthampton Police Department 32 Payson Avenue Easthampton, MA 01027 Dear Chief Aliberti: I have received the petition of Greta Jochem of the Daily Hampshire Gazette appealing the response of the Easthampton Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 16, 2021, Ms. Jochem requested, “[t]he internal affairs report, and any other accompanying documentation, for all cases named in the Easthampton Police Department’s internal affairs log …” Previous appeal This request was the subject of a previous appeal. See SPR21/0143 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (February 3, 2021). The Department responded on January 26, 2021. Unsatisfied with the response, Ms. Jochem petitioned this office and SPR21/0346 was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned the Department responded to Ms. Jochem’s request with a response sent on February 25, 2021. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s January 26th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Jochem may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
